Lonely Princess

This costume was worn at the New York Anime Festival's Masquerade and is based on the White and Gold dress from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. We took a few liberties when creating this dress; changed up the sleeve design as well at the veil and head dress. It was fun to wear even though it really put me out of my usual costume comfort zone.

There is well over 1000 rhinestones in this outfit and I think we went through two bottle of fabric paint as well as two bottles of glitter. The designs were all done by hand as well as the scallops. The skirt has four layers and was draped, there is two petticoats on underneath it. The bodice is lined, has interfacing and boning and is very very stiff

This costume was made in collaboration with who does such amazing work. I would have never thought it possible for me to make something like this but Indra has a way of making the impossible happen.
